My name is Mrs. Dorene Johnson. I teach second grade at Taft Elementary. I have been teaching school for seventeen years. I have taught the following grades: fifth, first, second and was the Educational Technologist for two years.
I have lived in Ashland my whole life. I met my husband, Matt in Middle School. We have been married for twenty-three years. We have two wonderful children, Garrett and Shelbie. Garrett is twenty years old and finding himself. Shelbie is an Senior at Ashland High School. We also have an adorable Great Dane named Oakley. As a family we love to travel, swim and watch movies together. Mr. Johnson and I love to walk Oakley.
I also enjoy walking, reading, shopping and watching Garrett and Shelbie participate in their many sporting activities. When I retire from teaching I would like to start my own business and become a personal shopper.
