Hello, my name is Mrs. White.  I'm excited to be teaching fifth grade Language Arts and Social Studies this year.

Education:  I graduated from Ashland HIgh School and was active with theater, choir and musicals.  My bachelors of science degree is from The Ohio State University,  which certifies me to teach all subjects from first through eighth grade.  I am also certifed as a reading specialist.  I received a masters degree in special needs, specifically learning disabilities and developmental handicaps, which certifies me to teach kindergarten through grade twelve in these areas.  Through the years I have taught at Ashland High School, Middle School, Pleasant Street, Grant Street and Taft Elementary Schools.

Family:  I am married to David White who is an animal nutritionist and area farmer.  We have five children and nine grandchildren.  I enjoy traveling to historic areas and have spent time in all of the states except Washington and Oregon.  My biggest claim of adventure (besides raising five children) is that I have ridden mules down the Grand Canyon twice.
