Ashland
FFA Members Attend State Leadership Conference
On January 23 and 24, five Ashland
FFA members traveled to Columbus
for the Made for Excellence (MFE) and Advanced Leadership Development (ALD) Conferences.
The leadership conferences took place at the Crown Plaza Columbus North Hotel.
Members Dakota Pryor, Trudy Coffman, Erica White, Zane Gross III, and Kyle Bell
participated in many leadership activities while meeting new people and having
fun with the state FFA officers. Members completed six sessions where they
learned valuable leadership skills such as team work, and what excellence
is. Students at ALD learned about
creating a way for people to contribute to making something happen and encouraging
dialog between all levels of decision making.
Students got a chance to interact with fellow members from different
chapters around the state. Highlights of
the trip included the Saturday night dance and a stop at the Cold Stone
Creamery.
Respectfully Submitted,
